Eduardo Noriega Cast as Villain in LAST STAND

Spanish actor to square off against Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Eduardo Noriega (‘Blackthorn,’ ‘Vantage Point,’ ‘The Devil’s Backbone’) has been cast as the villain in Kim Jee-Woon’s ‘Last Stand.’

The action thriller stars Schwarzenegger as Sheriff Owens, a man who has resigned himself to a life of fighting what little crime takes place in his sleepy border town. But things soon change when, together with his inexperienced police force, he runs up against an escaped drug cartel leader heading for the Mexican border.

Jamie Alexander (‘Thor’), Rodrigo Santoro (‘300’), Zach Gilford (‘Friday Night Lights’) and Peter Stormare (‘Henry’s Crime,’ ‘The Big Lebowski,’ ‘Fargo’) will also co-star.

The original script was penned by Andrew Knauer; it was subsequently rewritten by Jeffrey Nachmanoff and more recently, George Nolfi. Production kicks off October 20th in New Mexico with Lorenzo di Bonaventura producing.
