Edgar Wright to Direct BABY DRIVER Next

Former ‘Ant-Man’ helmer picks next film…

Edgar Wright (‘Shaun of the Dead,’ ‘Hot Fuzz,’ ‘The World’s End,’ ‘Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World’) has apparently found his ‘Ant-Man’ rebound project, the long-gesting ‘Baby Driver.’

Talking to Deadline, the filmmaker described the long-gesting secretive film as “a collision of crime, action, music and sound.” It is unknown if Wright’s regular collaborators Simon Pegg and Nick Frost will be involved.

‘Baby Driver’ reunites Wright with Working Title Films, the London-based production banner behind the beloved ‘Cornetto Trilogy.’ Working Title partners Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner are producing with Nira Park.

Wright was all set to direct Marvel’s ‘Ant-Man’ but parted ways with the superhero outing over creative differences back in May, with Peyton Reed stepping in as his replacement.
