Helms to headline comedy…
Ed Helms (‘We’re The Millers,’ ‘The Office,’ ‘The Hangover’) is attached to produce and star in the comedy ‘Epic Fail’ for Lionsgate.
Based on an original idea by Helms and Nicky Weinstock, the plot follows an elite but highly unorthodox special forces team that takes their dysfunction and excessive firepower on a desperate mission to save America, led by the only soldier more badass and more mustachioed than a Navy SEAL — The Walrus.
Mike Arnold and Chris Poole are on board to provide the script.
Lionsgate executives Erik Feig, Matthew Janzen and James Myers will oversee the project, with Weinstock producing via his Invention Films banner along with Helms and his Pacific Electric Picture Company partner Michael Falbo.
