Eastwood to Direct Paris Train Attack Drama

Hollywood legend Clint Eastwood is set to tackle an adaptation of the fact-based book ‘The 15:17 to Paris,’ says Deadline.

The book deals with the story of Anthony Sadler, Alek Skarlatos and Spencer Stone, three Americans traveling in Europe in 2015. The trio were on board the #9364 from Brussels to Paris, where they thwarted an attempted terrorist attack by overpowering a man armed with an AK-47.

Stone was a martial arts enthusiast and airman first class in the U.S. Air Force, Skarlatos was a member of the Oregon National Guard, and all three pals refused to give in to fear as they charged the gunman after he emerged from a bathroom armed and ready to kill.

Eastwood will direct from a script by Dorothy Blyskal, and also produce alongside Tim Moore, Kristina Rivera and Jessica Meier.
