Dwayne Johnson To Lead BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA Remake

Another classic to get the reboot treatment. Multiple outlets are reporting that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson (‘San Andreas,’ ‘Fast and Furious 7’) is negotiations to headline a remake of the cult classic ‘Big Trouble in Little China.’

Directed by John Carpenter, the original film starred Kurt Russell as hard-boiled truck driver Jack Burton, who is dragged into a centuries-old mystical conflict within, and underneath, San Francisco’s Chinatown. Kim Cattrall, Dennis Dun, James Hong, and Victor Wong also starred.

The project is set up over at 20th Century Fox with Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz on board to provide the script. Johnson and his producing partners Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia will produce the remake through their banner, 7 Bucks Entertainment.
