Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson (‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation,’ ‘Pain & Gain,’ ‘Fast & Furious 6’) has closed a deal to reunite with his ‘Journey 2: The Mysterious Island’ director Brad Peyton for the disaster epic ‘San Andreas,’ reports THR.
Scheduled to begin shooting next April with released pencilled in for a summer 2015 release, the film is set after “a devastating earthquake hits California and centres on a rugged rescue-helicopter pilot (Johnson) who is making a perilous trip across the state to rescue his estranged daughter.”
The script comes from Andre Fabrizio and Jeremy Passmore, with rewrites by Chad and Carey Hayes.
