Would play the female lead opposite Luke Evans
Frequent David Cronenberg collaborator Sarah Gadon is said to in negotiations with Universal for the female lead in the studio’s upcoming supernatural horror ‘Dracula Year Zero.’
Welsh actor Luke Evans (‘Fast & Furious 6’) is attached to play the legendary bloodsucker, with the film mixing mythology and history as it tells the story of “a young prince who, when the lives of his wife and child are put in danger by a bloodthirsty sultan, risks his soul to save them, and in the process becomes the first vampire.”
‘Dracula Year Zero’ will mark the feature directorial debut of Irish director Gary Shore (‘The Cup of Tears,’ ‘The Draft’), who is helming the big budget feature from a script by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless.
