Douglas Booth and Billy Crudup Set for LIFE AT THESE SPEEDS

Sam Rockwell produced drama begins casting.

Variety is reporting that Douglas Booth (‘Romeo and Juliet,’ ‘Great Expectations’) and Billy Crudup (‘Neighborhood Watch,’ ‘Watchmen,’ ‘Almost Famous’) have joined the cast of Leif Tilden’s sports drama ‘Life at These Speeds.’

Executively produced by Sam Rockwell, the story follows a rural teenager (Booth) who loses his best friends in a tragic accident and channels his survivor’s guilt into an addiction to running, becoming a world-class distance runner in the process. Crudup will play the teenager’s coach and confidante.

The screenplay was written by Marc Novak, based on the novel of the same name by Jeremy Jackson. Production is slated to begin late March in Mississippi.

In a statement Rockwell said, “I’ve been a big supporter of Leif — and of ‘Life at These Speeds’ since its inception — and I’m very excited that Douglas and Billy have joined us on the project.”
