Dominic Purcell & Callan McAuliffe Sign Up for PARADISE LOST

Two more board big-budget biblical epic.

Dominic Purcell and Callan McAuliffe (‘I Am Number Four’) have joined the cast of Alex Proyas’ action fantasy epic ‘Paradise Lost.’ The pair joins Bradley Cooper, Benjamin Walker, Casey Affleck, Djimon Hounsou, and Camilla Belle.

An action-oriented adaptation of John Milton’s 17th Century poem, the movie follows the legendary war in heaven between archangels Michael (Walker) and Lucifer (Cooper), including the latter’s role in Adam and Eve’s fall from grace.

THR reports that Purcell (‘Straw Dogs,’ ‘Prison Break’) will play Jerahmeel, an angel who falls in with Lucifer and ultimately becomes his right-hand man as the renamed Moloch. McAuliffe, who is currently starring in Baz Luhrmann‘s ‘The Great Gatsby,’ will play Uriel, one of the first seven archangels created by God.
