Hounsou to become the angel death.
Variety reports that Djimon Hounsou (‘The Tempest,,’ ‘Blood Diamond’) has joined the cast of Alex Proyas’ ‘Paradise Lost’ adaptation.
Based on John Milton’s classic 17th century poem, the story revolves around the epic war in heaven between archangels Lucifer (Bradley Cooper) and Michael (Benjamin Walker), including the latter’s role in Adam and Eve’s fall from grace. Hounsou will portray Abdiel, the angel of death.
Production is scheduled to kick off in early 2012, with a screenplay by Ryan Condal.
