Dinklage to Lead Edgar Allan Poe Tale HOP-FROG

Actor to lead revenge thriller.

The scene-stealing ‘Game of Thrones’ star Peter Dinklage is teaming with director Mark Palansky for a feature adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe’s revenge tale ‘Hop-Frog.’

First published in 1849, Poe’s short story follows “a puppeteer who poses as a court jester to exact revenge on the knights who murdered his uncle and kidnapped the woman he loves.”

“Hop-Frog is beautiful and vicious,” Dinklage told Screen Daily. “It has haunted me ever since I read Poe’s original tale of revenge years ago. I can think of no other director than Mark Palansky to bring this new imagining of it vibrantly to life.”

The adaptation will be produced by Adam Schroede (‘Chronicle,’ ‘Sleepy Hollow’), with newcomer Brian Alan Carr on board to provide the script.
