DiCaprio, Maguire & Hardy to Teaming for Anti-Poaching Drama

Trio to produce the ‘Traffic’-style drama.

Sources for THR are claiming that Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire and Tom Hardy are set to produce an untitled animal-trafficking drama for Warner Bros.

The untitled project is apparently the brainchild of Hardy, who was inspired by his friends who are “former Special Forces operatives and went on to become anti-poaching fighters in South Africa and other nations.”

According to the trade’s sources, the plan is to make a feature in the vein of Steven Soderbergh’s multi-narrative ensemble drama ‘Traffic,’ with the story dealing with everything “from the ground war on poachers in the African Savanna to how animal material ends up in the fashion houses of Paris.”

It is unclear if the trio will take starring roles in the film.
