Diane Keaton is to star in road trip movie ‘The Widows’ Adventure’.

Based on the novel by Charles Dickinson, Jason Pomerance will pen the screenplay.

The story centres on two widowed sisters who embark on an unlikely trip from Chicago to Los Angeles, setting off a comic family odyssey of revelation and reconciliation.

Keaton recently signed to appear alongside Steve Martin in family comedy One Big Happy.

TIDBIT: Keaton shot to fame for in her film Woody Allen’s ‘Annie Hall’, the character based on Keaton herself (her real name is Diane Hall and her nickname is Annie). She subsequently worked with Woody Allen seven times in Love and Death (1975), Manhattan (1979), Manhattan Murder Mystery (1993), Radio Days (1987), Play It Again, Sam (1972), Interiors (1978) and Sleeper (1973)
