Robert De Niro has pulled out of the big screen remaking or British minseries ‘Edge of Darkness.
According to reports, De Niro”abruptly” quit the project just days after arriving on set this week. A De Niro rep advised the paper that the Oscar winner quit over “creative differences.”
The trade added that director Martin Campbell and the crew will shoot around De Niro’s scenes until a replacement can be cast.
De Niro would have reportedly played “an operative sent to clean up the evidence in the murder of a young woman. Mel Gibson co-stars as the victim’s father, a homicide detective for the Boston Police Dept. who uncovers her secret life, a corporate cover-up and government collusion.”
