Robert De Niro joins cast of ‘Edge Of Darkness’
Robert De Niro is in final talks to star in Edge Of Darkness.
The film stars Mel Gibson as Thomas Craven, an upstanding homicide detective who uncovers government and corporate cover-ups when his daughter is murdered. De Niro will play Darius Jedburgh, a CIA operative dispatched to remove the evidence.
Martin Campbell will direct the feature adaptation of the six-hour 1985 BBC miniseries, which Campbell also helmed. William Monahan wrote the script for the film.
Edge Of Darkness begins shooting next month in Massachusetts.
