Robert de Niro Cast in Robert Rodriguez’s Machete?
Robert De Niro is rumoured for the upcoming Robert Rodriguez’s pic “Machete”.
Bloody Disgusting tell us that De Niro, Michelle Rodriguez (“Fast and Furious”), and Jonah Hill (“Superbad”) are being sought out for the Danny Trejo-starring actioner.
De Niro would play a senator, Rodriguez would play a character called Luz, and Hill would be Julio. Trejo, of course, reprises the gun-toting titular role he played in a faux commercial that was spliced between the two “Grindhouse” flicks – “Death Proof” and “Planet Terror”.
The film, to be co-directed by Rodriguez and Ethan Maniquis, starts shooting later this month.
