Slade to direct Ray Wright penned thriller.

British filmmaker David Slade (‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse,’ ’30 Days of Night,’ ‘Hard Candy’) has been tapped to step behind the camera for a psychological thriller ‘The Widow,’ according to THR.

Featuring a script by Ray Wright (‘The Crazies’), the plot centres on “a young woman who befriends a lonely widow only to discover that their encounter was not a coincidence.”

Philippe Rousselet, CEO of Vendome Pictures, will produce alongside Steve Golin and Alix Madigan of Anonymous Content. Slade and his producers are aiming to commence production later this year.
