British actor joins indie drama…
‘Selma’ and ‘Interstellar’ star David Oyelowo is set to star alongside Lupita Nyong’o (’12 Years a Slave,’ ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’) in the indie drama ‘Americanah,’ according to Variety.
Based on the Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie acclaimed novel of the same name, the story follows Ifemelu and Obinze, two Nigerians immigrant who face a lifetime of struggle while their relationship endures.
Nyong’o will also serve as producer on the indie with Brad Pitt through his Plan B banner, and Andrea Calderwood.
The producers are out to writers and directors.
