David Dobkin

Postponed project back in development.

Variety reports that Colin Farrell is in talks to star in writer-director David Dobkin‘s action adventure ‘Arthur & Lancelot.’

The film was originally set up with Kit Harington (‘Game of Thrones’) and Joel Kinnaman (‘The Killing’), with a story that sees “Arthur as an illegitimate son being raised by a humble and poor knight in a village who will grow into an inspiring leader while Lancelot is a rebellious noble who distrusts the established government.”

Filming was scheduled to begin in January, but Warner Bros. reportedly pulled the plug due to the project’s increasing budget and the two unproven leads.

Now with a more bankable star like Farrell the project appears to be back in development, although it is not specified what role Farrell is in talks for.
