David Bowie & Iggy Pop Biopic LUST FOR LIFE in Development

Pair’s legendary collaboration will be focus of new film.

It is being reported that Gabriel Range (‘Death of a President’) is attached to direct a biopic about the legendary collaboration between David Bowie and Iggy Pop back in the 1970s.

Relocating to West Berlin in the late ’70s, the music legends began a creative collaboration that would lead to three albums — Pop’s ‘Idiot’ and ‘Lust for Life’ and Bowie’s ‘Low’ — that are widely regarded as some of the two artists’ best work.

Penned by Robin French (‘Cuckoo), ‘Lust for Life’ is based on several sources, including the biographies ‘Starman: David Bowie’ and ‘Open Up and Bleed: Iggy Pop’ from writer and former Mojo editor Paul Trynka.

“’Lust for Life’ is not a traditional rock biopic, for no one dies at the end,” said producer Egoli Tossell in a statement to THR.
