Lerman cast in WWII thriller.
‘The Perks of Being A Wallflower’ star Logan Lerman is joining Brad Pitt and Shia LaBeouf on the cast of David Ayer’s WWII tank thriller ‘Fury,’ according to Deadline.
As previously reported, the film is set in 1945 and follows the five-man crew of an American tank as they embark on a heroic mission that becomes a battle for survival against a desperate German army.
Lerman is said to be taking the role of Norman Ellison, an Army typist and the youngest and most inexperienced member of the crew who is thrust into being a tank gunner.
Production is gearing up to begin in September with Bill Block’s QED International, John Lesher’s Le Grisbi Productions and Ethan Smith producing.
