Daniel Radcliffe to Play Allen Ginsberg in KILL YOUR DARLINGS

Radcliffe replacing Eisenberg in true life thriller?

Sources for Twitch are claiming that ‘Harry Potter’ star Daniel Radcliffe is set to play beatnik poet Allen Ginsberg in the John Krokidas-directed thriller ‘Kill Your Darlings.’

Based on actual events, the thriller revolves around the real-life relationship between Ginsberg, Jack Kerouac, William S Burroughs, and Lucien Carr. Carr, for his part, is credited for connecting Ginsberg, Kerouac and Burroughs but, most notoriously, served time for the 1944 murder of his lover David Kammerer.

First announced back in March 2009, the project was initially set up with Jesse Eisenberg (‘The Social Network’) in the role of Ginsberg. Chris Evans (‘Captain America: The First Avenger’) and Ben Whishaw (‘Skufall’) were also linked to the project, playing Kerouac and Carr, respectively. Whether Evans and Whishaw are still attached is unknown.

Radcliffe, who will next be seen in the period horror ‘The Woman in Black’ when it lands in Irish cinemas in February, is currently on Broadway in the musical ‘How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying.’ The actor is expected to begin shooting ‘Kill Your Darlings’ when he wraps up on the musical.
