Daniel Radcliffe May Play GRAND THEFT AUTO Creator Sam Houser

Radcliffe circling role in ‘GTA’ legal drama…

Heat Vision has learned that Daniel Radcliffe (‘Now You See Me: The Second Act,’ ‘Harry Potter’) is in talks to star in BBC Films’ ‘Grand Theft Auto,’ a legal drama about the conflict between ‘Grand Theft Auto’ creator Sam Houser and Jack Thompson, a Miami-based activist attorney who aimed to ban the uber popular videogame.

Based on the David Kushner book ‘Jacked: The Outlaw Story of Grand Theft Auto,’ the film would see Radcliffe playing Sam Houser, the British co-founder and president of Rockstar Games, the company behind the ‘Grand Theft Auto’ franchise, as well as games such as ‘Max Payne’ and ‘Red Dead.’

Owen Harris, who helmed episodes of Channel 4’s ‘Misfits’ and ‘Black Mirror,’ is attached to direct from a script by James Wood (‘Rev,’ ‘Vexed,’ ‘Down to Earth’).
