‘Harry Potter’ star set for update of the classic tale.
Variety is reporting that Daniel Radcliffe is in final talks to play Igor in 20th Century Fox and Davis Entertainment’s revisionist take on Mary Shelley’s ‘Frankenstein.’
With Paul McGuigan (‘Sherlock,’ ‘Push’ ‘Lucky Number Slevin’) directing from a script by Max Landis (‘Chronicle’), the film puts a sci-fi take on the gothic tale with the focus on the themes of friendship and redemption. Igor is described as being “pathologically dirty and dressed in old clowns clothing.”
Filming is expected to shoot in the autumn after Radcliffe’s finishes up his run in the West End play ‘Cripple of Inishmaan.’
