Dane DeHaan (‘Metallica: Through The Never,’ ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2,’ ‘Chronicle’) has scored the lead in the indie horror comedy ‘Life After Beth.’
Based upon the short film of the same name from 2010, the indie sees DeHaan playing Zach, a young man struggling to continue his relationship with his girlfriend (played by Aubrey Plaza) after she comes back from the dead.
Comedian/actor Paul Reiser (‘Behind the Candelabra,’ ‘Alien’) and Matthew Gray Gubler (‘Criminal Minds,’ ‘500 Days of Summer’) have also joined the cast, with Reiser playing DeHaan’s father. As previously reported, John C. Reilly co-stars (as Plaza’s dad).
Principal photography is underway in Los Angeles with ‘I Heart Huckabees’ co-writer Jeff Baena directing.
