Damon Lindelof Writing Secret SciFi for Disney

Scribe lands seven-figure deal with studio for mysterious new sci-fi flick.

‘Lost’ writer Damon Lindelof has sealed a deal with Walt Disney Pictures to pen and produce an original large scale family sci-fi. The secretive movie is currently going by the title of ‘1952.’

No details have emerged on the story but according to Deadline, the movie has “multiple platform aspirations,” so that could mean video games, a TV series or a comic run.

Lindelof has been busy since ‘Lost’ wrapped, the scribe teamed with Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci for Jon Favreau’s ‘Cowboys & Aliens.’ He followed that up with Ridley Scott’s ‘Prometheus.’ The writer is currently working away on the the upcoming ‘Star Trek’ sequel with Orci and Kurtzman.
