‘Monster Of Florence’ Attracts Tom Cruise

Tom Cruise has picked up the rights to serial killer book ‘The Monster Of Florence’.


Cruise is attached to produce and possibly star in the thriller, according to its author Doughlas Preston and the Italian crime journalist Mario Spezi.


The bestselling book was based on 14 murders believed to have been committed between in  Florence between 1968 and 1985 – the same murders that inspired Thomas Harris to write ‘Silence of The Lambs’ sequel ‘Hannibal’.


According to Spezi; “the film will have Florence and the Chianti as protagonists, two of the locations most beloved by Americans.”


‘Valkyrie’ writer Chris McQuarrie will pen the script.
