Crispin Glover Checks into MOTEL with John Cusack and Robert De Niro

Quirky genius boards indie action thriller.

THR has word that intriguing character actor Crispin Glover (‘Freaky Deaky,’ ‘Alice in Wonderland’) has joined John Cusack, Robert De Niro and Rebecca DaCosta (‘Entourage’) on the cast of the indie crime thriller ‘Motel.’

A “taut thriller,” the story centres on Jack, a self-loathing thief (Cusack) who is hired by the infamous mob boss, Dragna (De Niro). To complete his job, Jack must fight his way through a cast of other shadowy characters who also have been summoned by Dragna to “a decrepit backwater motel in the Delta bayous. When the man crosses back with a mysterious woman (DaCosta), they partner up to escape from the crime boss’ clutches and survive a night of murderous havoc.”

‘Motel’ is currently in production with David Grovic in the director’s chair. The film will co-star Dominic Purcell (‘Straw Dogs,’ ‘Killer Elite’), rapper-turned-actor Kirk “Sticky Fingaz” Jones and Martin Klebba (‘Project X,’ ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’).
