Brian Cox joins Planet of Apes prequel
Brian Cox is in final talks to play the lead villain in Planet Of The Apes prequel.
The film, provisionally titled Rise Of The Apes, will reunite Cox with his Escapist director Rupert Wyatt.
The plot revolves around genetically engineered chimp Caesar (Andy Serkis) leading an ape uprising against humans in present-day San Francisco.
Cox will star as the owner of a primate sanctuary who shows no compassion for the animals living there
