Writer and director to reteam for indie sci-fi.
‘Safety Not Guaranteed’ filmmakers Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly are set to reunite for the indie sci-fi ‘The Ambassador,’ reports Deadline.
The duo will pen the original screenplay which follows a shy, low-ranking staffer at the United Nations Office of Outer Space Affairs who “unwittingly makes first contact when he meets a mysterious beautiful woman and must risk more than his job when they are threatened by forces of this world and beyond.”
In a statement, Trevorrow and Connolly described the film as being about “a pair of emotionally dysfunctional people forced into a situation beyond their control.”
