A Single Man heads to The Promised Land
Colin Firth and Matthew Macfadyen have joined the cast of The Promised Land.
Directed by Michael Winterbottom the film recalls the months leading up to the 1948 separation of Palestine and subsequent creation of the state of Israel.
According to Variety, the picture is likely to cause controversy with its portrayal of Jewish militants attacking British forces and civilians in Palestine during their battle for independence.
Firth’s latest movie A Single Man, is in Irish cinemas now.
