South Korea-born filmmaker Kogonada (‘Columbus’) has selected his next feature, an adaptation of the Alexander Weinstein short story ‘Saying Goodbye to Yang.’

Titled ‘After Yang,’ the futuristic drama will star Colin Farrell as a father who, with the help of his daughter, tries to save life of a robotic family member.

Theresa Park (‘The Best of Me,’ ‘The Longest Ride,’ ‘Choice’) is on board to produce with her Per Capita banner, alongside Cinereach (‘Sorry to Bother You’).

Farrell will next be seen starring in Tim Burton’s live-action ‘Dumbo’ when it opens in cinemas on March 29.
