Clive Owen and Juliette Binoche Take WORDS AND PICTURES

Owen and Binoche cast in romantic drama.

Australian filmmaker Fred Schepisi (‘Eye of the Storm,’ ‘Six Degrees of Separation,’ ‘A Cry in the Dark,’ ‘Roxanne’) is attached to direct Clive Owen and Juliette Binoche in the romantic drama ‘Words and Pictures.

Scheduled to begin filming in March, the film sees Owen taking the role of a charismatic English teacher who forms a rivalry with an extremely private art instructor (Binoche) that ends up with a competition at their school in which students decide whether words or pictures are more important.

In a statement, producer Curtis Burch, “When I first read this uniquely romantic screenplay by Gerald DiPego, based on his original concept, I knew I had to acquire it as Latitude Productions’ first project, as it is an enchanting love story coloured with a sophisticated humour and would be ideal for Fred Schepisi to direct. It was with Fred’s commitment that we were able to attract Clive and Juliette, who are a perfect fit to create the chemistry between the two leads at the heart of the story. I am also very excited to be working alongside Lascaux Films to bring this movie to the screen.
