Christopher Nolan Eyes Sci-Fi Project INTERSTELLAR

Nolan brothers may reteam for sci-fi project.

THR has learned that Christopher Nolan is in negotiations to helm and produce ‘Intersetellar,’ a long-in-development sci-fi project that once had Steven Spielberg attached.

Scripted by his longtime collaborator and brother Jonathan Nolan (‘Person of Interest,’ ‘The Dark Knight Rises,’ ‘The Dark Knight,’ ‘Prestige’), the screenplay involves time travel and alternate dimensions in a story that sees a group of explorers travel through a wormhole. The film’s plot is based on a scientific theory by Kip S. Thorne, a theoretical physicist, a gravitational physicist and astrophysicist at The California Institute of Technology.

Nolan will produce the film via his Syncopy banner for both Paramount Pictures and Warner Bros. It is currently unclear if Spielberg will remain on board as a producer.
