Chris Pratt and Will Arnett to Voice LEGO: THE PIECE OF RESISTANCE

Pratt to lead, Arnett set as Lego Batman with Channing Tatum courted for Lego Superman.

‘21 Jump Street’ and ‘Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs’ directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller have tapped Chris Pratt (‘The Five Year Engagement,’ ‘Parks and Recreation’) and Will Arnett (‘Arrested Development,’ ‘Up All Night’) to lend their voices to the action adventure ‘Lego: The Piece of Resistance.’

Combing live-action and Lego-based animation, the film follows Emmett (Pratt), “an ordinary, law-abiding, Lego mini-figure who is mistaken for the most extraordinary Master Builder. He’s drafted into a fellowship of strangers on a quest to stop an evil tyrant from gluing the universe together.”

Arnett is set to voice Lego Batman, while Variety adds that Channing Tatum is being sought to voice Lego Superman. It should be interesting to see if Lego Harry Potter and Lego Indiana Jones put in an appearance.

‘Robot Chicken’ stop-motion director Chris McKay is also on board and will serve as co-director under Lord and Miller. The screenplay comes from Dan and Kevin Hageman (‘Hotel Transylvania,’ ‘Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu’).
