Chris Evans Set For RED SEA DIVING RESORT

‘Captain America’ star Chris Evans has signed on for the spy thriller ‘Red Sea Diving,’ based on the true life events of the Israeli spy agency’s effort “to rescue and bring home Ethiopian Jews that were trapped in Sudan in the late 1970s and early 1980s.”

THR has Evans portraying Ari Kidron, “an agent who puts together a team that took over a deserted resort in Sudan as they began their multiyear mission.”

The ensemble cast will also feature Haley Bennett (‘The Girl on the Train’), Alessandro Nivola (‘Selma’), Michael K. Williams (‘Assassin’s Creed’), Michiel Huisman (‘Game of Thrones’), Alex Hassell (‘Anonymous’), Mark Ivanir (‘Homeland’), Greg Kinnear (‘Brigsby Bear’) and Ben Kingsley (‘War Machine’).

Israeli filmmaker Gideon Raff is writing and directing, with Alexandra Milchan producing and Bron Media financing.

Evans will next be seen starring in the Marc Webb-directed ‘Gifted’ when it is released in Irish cinemas June 16th.
