‘Prometheus’ star Charlize Theron has begun talks to co-produce and star in the comedic whodunit ‘Murder Mystery,’ reports Deadline.
While no official plotline has been released, the screenplay by James Vanderbilt (‘The Amazing Spider-Man,’ ‘Zodiac’) has been described as “an affectionate deconstruction” of the Agatha Christie blueprint revolving around an American couple travelling abroad.
British director John Madden (‘The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel,’ ‘The Debt’) is attached to direct. Theron will be producing via her Denver and Delilah Productions banner, along with Tripp Vinson, Beau Flynn and Vanderbilt. Endgame Entertainment’s Julie Goldstein and Lucas Smith will oversee production.
