IT: CHAPTER TWO Eyes James McAvoy and Bill Hader

It looks like The Losers’ Club has found its newest members, with THR bringing word that James McAvoy (‘Glass,’ ‘Atomic Blonde’) and Bill Hader (‘Barry,’ ‘The Skeleton Twins’) are in negotiations to join Bill Skarsgård and Jessica Chastain for ‘It: Chapter Two.’

With Andy Muschietti once again directing and Gary Dauberman back as screenwriter, the second chapter in Stephen King’s saga takes place 27 years later with the adult Losers’ Club drawn back to Derry after hearing that the murderous Pennywise the Clown has returned to feed on children.

Should they put pen to paper and board the sequel, McAvoy would play the adult version of Bill Benbrough, played by Jaeden Lieberher in the first film, while Hader would play the grown-up version of jokester Richie Tozier, played by ‘Stranger Things’ star Finn Wolfhard in the first installment.

Skarsgård returns as Pennywise the Clown, with Chastain confirmed to be playing the adult version of scene-stealing Sophia Lillis’ Beverly Marsh, the group’s lone female member who as an adult ends up in an abusive marriage.

‘It: Chapter Two’ is scheduled to begin production in July.
