Channing Tatum and Reid Carolin Circling Jo Nesbo

The two would co-direct and produce the crime thriller..

Mike Fleming over at Deadline has learned that Channing Tatum and producing partner Reid Carolin are in talks to direct Norwegian novelist Jo Nesbø’s forthcoming novel ‘The Son.’

Hitting bookshelves in April, the crime thriller follows Sonny Lofthus, a strangely charismatic and complacent young man serving prison time in Olso for crimes he did not commit. But when Sonny learns that his father, who is said to be a corrupt cop, has been murdered with the scene made to look like he committed suicide, he escapes and sets out to avenge the killing. Along the way, he also begins to rectify the crimes to which he confessed.

Kevin McCormick is on board to through Langley Park, with Nesbø and Niclas Salomonsson serving as executive producers. The project is out to scribes.
