Lady Galadriel returns to Middle Earth
Cate Blanchett has been confirmed for the upcoming Lord of the Rings prequels THE HOBBIT.
The Oscar-winning actress will reprise the role of Galadriel the Lady of Lothlorien for the two upcoming Peter Jackson films.
“Cate is one of my favourite actors to work with, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to have her reprise the role she so beautifully brought to life in the earlier films”, said Jackson on Blanchett’s return to the francise.
The first Hobbit movie is scheduled for release in 2012.
