CALENDAR GIRLS Team Plan DAYLIGHT ROBBERY

Writer and director to tackle British action comedy….

‘Made in Dagenham’ and ‘Saving Grace’ helmer Nigel Cole has signed on to take the director’s chair for ‘Daylight Robbery,’ a $10 million action comedy that will shoot early 2014 in England’s south coast.

The film, which reunites Cole with his ‘Calender Girls’ scribe Tim Firth, follows a group of feisty British pensioners who are hit by the financial crisis and hatch a plan to rob a bank to save their friend who is on the brink of losing her home.

Exclusive Media will fully finance the project and co-produce with James Gay-Rees of Playmaker Films (‘Exit Through the Gift Shop,’ ‘Senna’).

“Tim Firth has written a sharp, hilarious script that embraces the English humor he is renowned for, and we are delighted to bring him back together again with Nigel Cole to produce this very special film,” said Exclusive Media’s Tobin Armbrust.
