Broadbent, Stevenson and Kurtulus Have BIG GAME With Jackson

Trio board the Jalmari Helander-directed actioner.

Jim Broadbent (‘Cloud Atlas,’ ‘The Iron Lady’), Ray Stevenson (‘Thor: The Dark World,’ ‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation’), and German actor Mehmet Kurtulus (‘Equilibrium,’ ‘Short Sharp Shock’) have all signed on to star in Finnish writer/director Jalmari Helander’s ‘Big Game.’

With Samuel L. Jackson and Onni Tommila (‘Rare Exports,’ ‘Last Cowboy Standing’) heading up the cast, the actioner tells the story of a nervous and shy 13-year old boy who must prove his manhood by spending a day and a night alone in the forest. That night, Air Force One is shot down by terrorists and the boy discovers the U.S. President in an escape pod and the two team up to survive.

The Finnish-German-U.K. co-production is expected begin principal photography this week on location across Bavaria and at Bavaria Film Studios.
