Neil Burger tapped to write and direct Bride Of Frankenstein remake
Neil Burger is in talks to write and direct the rumoured Bride Of Frankenstein remake.
The 1935 original followed on from James Whale’s 1931 Frankenstein and saw Boris Karloff’s monster convince Dr Frankenstein to create him a mate.
Brian Grazer and Sean Daniel will serve as producers on the new Bride Of Frankenstein.
American Splendor writers Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini started the remake five years ago with a story set in modern-day New York which involved a dead woman being brought back to life. An earlier redo, 1985’s The Bride, starred Sting and Jennifer Beals.
