Brian De Palma to direct remake of french film Crime d’amour
Brian De Palma is on board to helm a remake of the 2010 French film Crime d’amour entitled Passion.
The original film (the very last from recently-deceased director Alain Corneau) starred Kristin Scott Thomas as executive mentoring a young ingénue (Ludivine Saginer) who soon becomes her cutthroat rival.
According to Variety, the setting is expected to be moved to England to accommodate the English-language remake; production is expected to take place in Germany from August 2011.
