Black List script lands helmer.
Documentary director Brett Morgen (‘The Kid Stays in the Picture’) is set to take director’s chair for the 2012 Black List script ‘When The Street Lights Go On,’ reports Deadine.
The script by Chris Sutton and Eddie O’Keefe’s is in the vein of ‘Stand by Me,’ with the story revolving around a teen boy who becomes obsessed with solving a murder case involving a young girl that has their sleepy suburban town in a panic in the summer of 1982.
‘When The Street Lights Go On’ will serves as Morgen’s dramatic feature debut. The helmer is currently directing a feature documentary commemorating the 50th anniversary of The Rolling Stones.
