BREAKING BAD Director in Talks for WONDER WOMAN

Standalone film may be a 1920s-set origin story…

TV director Michelle MacLaren has reportedly emerged as the frontrunner to direct the ‘Wonder Woman’ film for Warner Bros. Pictures.

‘Fast and Furious’ star Gal Gadot will play the Amazon warrior princess, who will be first introduced in Zack Snyder’s ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,’ due out Summer 2016.

It’s too early for plot details to emerge, however, rumours are swirling that the film will be an origin story prequel with the first half of the film taking place on Themyscira, also known as Paradise Island, before moving to the action to the 1920s.

MacLaren has been behind the camera for acclaimed episodes of ‘The Walking Dead,’ ‘Game of Thrones,’ ‘Breaking Bad,’ and has also helmed the pilot of the prequel spinoff ‘Better Call Saul.’

Other directors believed to be on the studio’s wish list include Jennifer Kent (‘The Babadook’) and Lesli Linka Glatter (‘Homeland’).
