Russell Brand keen to reprise junkie role
Russell Brand has revealed that he is looking forward to revisiting his drug addict past for his next movie.
As previously reported, the British comedian will reprise his ‘Forgetting Sarah Marshall’ role as out-of-control rock star Aldous Snow in new comedy ‘Get Him To The Greek’.
Brand kicked the drugs habit back in 2003 but has said he is keen to act out his hell raising past on the big screen, joking: “The opportunity to revisit it without the consequences is exciting.
“I might even find a way of justifying using actual drugs. It’s like, ‘Well, this is acting, come on’.”
The Judd Apatow-produced film stars Jonah Hill as a newly-graduated insurance adjuster hired to escort Brand’s character from London to a gig at LA’s Greek Theatre.
