Popular German comedy to receive Hollywood remake.
‘Silver Linings Playbook’ star Bradley Cooper has reportedly signed on to star in an English-language remake of the 2011 smash hit German comedy ‘Kokowääh.’
Written, directed, produced and starring Til Schweiger (‘Inglourious Basterds,’ ‘This Means War’), the original is the story of Henry, an unsuccessful scriptwriter who must deal with the emergence of his 8-year-old daughter (played by Schweiger’s daughter, Emma Tiger Schweiger), the previously unknown product of a long-forgotten one night stand.
Cooper is attached to produce the remake with his 22nd & Indiana partner Sheroum Kim. It is thought that the actor is also eyeing the film as a potential directoring debut.
