Bradley Cooper Developing AMERICAN SNIPER

Star will produce and possibly star.

THR reports that ‘The Hangover’ star Bradley Cooper is using his newly created Warner Bros. based production company, 22nd & Indiana, to develop the Navy SEAL flick ‘American Sniper.’

Based on Navy SEAL Chris Kyle’s autobiography, complete title ‘American Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. Military History,’ the adaptation will be penned by Jason Dean Hall and will be developed as a star vehicle for Cooper.

Kyle’s book recounts how the Texas native came to record the highest number of sniper kills for an American. The emotional core of the book comes from passages by Kyle’s wife, “who slowly watches as her husband’s affection turns from her to the SEALs and war.”

Andrew Lazar (‘Confessions of a Dangerous Mind,’ ‘10 Things I Hate About You’) and Peter Morgan (‘Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy,’ ‘Frost/Nixon’) will produce with Cooper.
