Brad Pitt tackles Chilean miners movie

Pitt eyes Chilean miners movie?

Brad Pitt is looking to turn the story of the 33 Chilean miners who spent more than two months trapped underground into a film.

Pitt’s production company Plan B has made a “multi-million-dollar offer” to secure the movie rights to the men’s survival story.

Edgardo Reinoso, the attorney who represents the miners, revealed that he has been inundated with enquiries about commercial opportunities – averaging ten propositions a day.

No agreement will be signed until all 33 men have established a holding company to equally distribute funds gained from deals connected to their ordeal.

It is thought that several of the rescued miners will be given roles in the proposed feature film.
